Travel Hacking to Diamond With Caesars

I recently travel hacked my way to Diamond status with Caesars. Why do this? You never know when a spontaneous trip to Vegas might come up! The overall process was pretty simple. To travel hack your way to Diamond with Caesars, you will need the following:

  • A similar rewards level with another supporting rewards program. For me, I could use Marriott or Hilton
  • Two months time for the match to go through
  • Access to a laptop!

Sounds pretty simple right? Here is the step by step guide to this.

Step 1: Match Your Status With Wyndham Rewards

The first step of the process is to match your rewards status program with Wyndham Rewards. We will essentially be matching a match to get the elevated status with Caesars.

The first step in the process is to match your highest rewards program Wyndham recognizes with Wyndham. To do this, create an account with Wyndham rewards. Once this account has been created, follow the steps at this link to upload your other rewards program: https://www.wyndhamhotels.com/wyndham-rewards/status-match

Step 2: Wait a Month

This is an important piece to the puzzle. You have to allow one billing cycle to go through before matching your match to Caesars. For me, I created my match in January with Wyndham and waited till February 6th (to be safe) before proceeding to Step 3.

Step 3: Create A Rewards Account With Caesars

Now that you have waited the proper amount of time, go create an account with Caesars and follow the same steps to match your Diamond status with Wyndham. Below is the link I used to do this: https://www.caesars.com/myrewards/partners/wyndham_resorts

You will need your rewards number from Wyndham in order to properly do this.

Step 4: Wait For Your Status To Match

Now it is time to wait. They say it will take 7 business days for your status to match. I found that it took 14 days before my match officially went through. Now it is time to enjoy the Diamond perks of Caesars.

Below is a snip of some of the benefits you will receive when you get Diamond status with Caesars.

Thanks to IG: @aunt.kara for detailing out this process on her IG account. I will enjoy some of the great perks of being a Diamond in my next visit to Vegas!

If You Have A Strong Why, You Can Survive Any How

If you have a strong why, you can survive any how.
Strong Why Then Almost Any How

Let that sink in for a moment. Do you have a why? Why are you striving to accomplish the goals you have set to accomplish? Why are you spending the time the way you currently do?

Two weeks ago I was leaving the Delta Sky Lounge in the Orlando International airport. My flight was about to board and I had just wrapped up a meeting. Luckily for me, I didn’t have my face buried in my phone and instead was listening to a podcast while I was walking out.

Just out of the corner or my eye, I saw someone who looked very familiar. Someone who I felt like I knew, but had to take a double take to make sure. Who was this person? The one and only Simon Sinek. Not everyone may know Simon, and if you don’t, you should.

He has one of the most famous Ted Talks, shown below. If you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend spending some time to do so.

He just came out with another book I plan to read soon called ‘The Infinite Game’. Three years ago, if I were to see someone like that in an airport there would have been a 0 percent chance I would have stopped to introduce myself. This time, I couldn’t help myself. Just as Simon was sitting down at the lounge, I mustered up the courage to go up to him.

“Excuse me sir, are you Simon Sinek?” I asked without much confidence.

He turned to me and said, “Yes, yes I am.” I was amazed and kind of star struck. Never had I met someone of his stature before and had the courage to go up to them.

I proceeded to let Simon know how much I love all his work and thanked him for all the things he is doing. I am sure for Simon this interaction was a little weird, but I just wanted to say hi.

This quote is something that came to mind to post after this interaction with Simon. If you have a strong why, you can survive almost any how.

Let that sink in for a minute again. If you have a strong why, you can survive almost any how.

Ask yourself again, why are you doing what you are doing? Why do you have the goals and ambitions you do? How strong is your why? Are you willing to sacrifice the things necessary today to get you where you want to be tomorrow.

My Why
Surprisingly, this is something I have myself struggled with in the past. I knew I wanted money. I knew I wanted to not be the average Joe. I knew I wanted to do something good and special with my life that would be different than anything my family has done before.

It took me a while to figure out what my true why was. I believe my why is having the time freedom to do what I want, with who I want, when I want. I don’t want to be tied down to a 9-5 job making someone else rich. I want to set myself from a financial standpoint to be able to buy convenience. To me, that is the goal.
Key Takeaways:
  • Detail out your why. Be honest with yourself. There is no reason to sugar coat anything here. This is for your benefit and your benefit only.
  • Don’t be afraid to go up to strangers and/or famous people and introduce yourself. You never know who you are going to meet.
  • If you don’t yet know your why, don’t worry. There is no reason to rush. It will hit you when the time is right.
