I started this site in 2018 to hold myself accountable on the road to financial independence. The original content was about three things: money, mindset, and mission. I'd just bought my first home, a house hack of course, and wanted to document the journey in case it helped one other person.

It turned into a short term rental business. I went from an $11k profit in my first year to owning five short term rentals and managing a sixth for a friend's family. In 2021 the portfolio grossed over $388k and netted $110k after every expense was paid. My best month to date netted $26k after setting aside money for capital expenses.

I could have left my W2 a while ago. I kept it because it's the fuel for buying more real estate. The plan is simple: short term rentals and house hacking on the real estate side, dollar cost averaging on the stock side, and reaching the point where I spend my time doing what I want, when I want, with whoever I want.

By trade I'm an industrial engineer, which explains the obsession with solving problems using the least effort possible. That's what the products on this site are: the systems I built so the properties run without me standing in them. Off the clock I'm an avid golfer and I travel as much as the calendar allows.
