Ever heard of this concept? Per googles search engine definition, confirmation bias is
Ok, now that seems a little ambiguous. So what exactly does this mean? To me, this means your mind focuses on and believes what you want to believe. Let me give you an example, have you ever had a friend, family member, or loved one purchase a new car they rave about? Did you all of a sudden begin noticing you purposefully start to see more of these cars as you drive around? Hmm, strange don’t you think? Nothing has changed, just the fact you had someone you knew speak highly of the car.
In our everyday life, we focus on what we want to focus on. If you want to be negative, focus on the negative things going on in your life. If you want to be positive, focus on and be grateful for all the amazing things you have going on in your life. I find this is something I continue to think more and more about.
How does confirmation bias impact your daily life? Do you have any varying beliefs on what confirmation bias means to you? Would love to hear your thoughts.
